On Reddit forum, many Surface Book 2 owners report that they are experiencing Windows 10 Blue Screen of Death issues. This is caused by the cumulative update. Microsoft acknowledges this problem and offers limited remediation. Keep reading to get more information about Surface Book 2 blue screen.

One user comments: he removes the update that bricks his Surface, he couldn't even get into the OS, just have blue screens. Finally, he has to reinstall Windows. Microsoft really needs a review on their updates.

Surface Book 2: Update KB4467682 causes blue screens …

Updated December 7, 2018: Microsoft has now pulled cumulative update KB4467682 completely following reports of blue and black screen errors from users. In its updated release notes, Microsoft states: "As a precaution, we have removed this optional update from Windows Update and Window Catalog to protect customers." A fix for the issue is still expected to launch with December's Patch Tuesday updates next week. The original story follows.

Now what the patch did do is cause another issue that I have never seen before. 3 clients, including myself, have experienced an issue with 2 different RemoteApps where when we will launch the RemoteApp, it pulls up the first screen of the app (in both cases a username/password screen) but once we click the button for it to pull up the next screen the RemoteApp disappears so all I see is my desktop. With one of our apps it does something more. The next screen is supposed to fill up the whole desktop and show a pop-up asking more questions. Well the pop-up appears but the background screen does not show up, so when we click okay on that pop-up, we see nothing, since the background screen never showed up! RemoteApp never had issues with these screens before the update.

As for the maximize issue someone reported in these threads, I have had that from the beginning with Server 2016 on my high resolution monitors, including all of my Surface Books. I talked to some remote desktop MVPs at Microsoft and they said they've never heard of this happening before. It happened to me out-of-the box. It doesn't happen with 2012R2 and I couldn't find anybody who reported the issue until this thread. The issue is 100% replicate-able in my environment with all programs, including wordpad and Calc RemoteApps. We're a Windows 10 shop with latest patches installed. The issue happens in single-monitor and dual monitors but only happens with monitors with high native resolutions like the surface book.

There seems to be a problem med the RDS client because we have a test user. That only had problem with the white screens. But now when she got a new Surface pro with Win 10 and all the latest fixes, she got the problem with that popup screens can be hanging in NAV and after about 2 ours the popup screen release and close. So, it looks like that the application take very long time to finish. A job that did take 10 sec. know seams to take 2 ours but that is not true because if you kill the session after 2 min. and you look in the database everything is done and booked as it should. 2ff7e9595c
